Joe Russo’s Almost Dead Recreates Itself at 100th Show by Debuting New Original Tune (Video)

Joe Russo’s Almost Dead (JRAD), featuring the former Furthur drummer along with all-star bandmates Tom Hamilton, Scott Metzger, Marco Benevento, and Dave Dreiwitz, has long been known for playing primarily Grateful Dead and Jerry Garcia Band tunes, albeit recreated  in new sonic forms complete with wild extended jams.  The band played their 100th show together on March 9, 2017 at the Brooklyn Bowl and further recreated themselves by playing their first original new composition, “Keeping It Simple” penned by Russo and Hamilton.
